Dr. Elana Fric-Shamji was brutally murdered and dismembered by her husband Dr. Mohammed Farid Shamji, just two days after she had files for divorce; authorities found Dr. Fric-Shamji's dismembered remains in a suitcase near a stream. Mohammed continues to serve a life sentence in an Ontario penitentiary -- Elana's parents and family continue to appeal for the death sentence; which would indeed be a deserving punishment for his heinous actions.
